It tells the story of 16-year-old Georgia Nolan dreaming of becoming a firefighter, at a time when women were not allowed in the profession. When a mysterious arsonist begins to set fire to Broadway, all the firefighters in the city start to disappear one by one. Georgia's retired father, Sean, is called back by the Mayor of New York City to lead the fire department's investigation. To help her father and save her city, Georgia disguises herself as a young man named Joe and joins a ragtag group of firefighters, trying to stop the arsonist at all costs.
