In the year 1873 in the American West, Jake Lonergan (played by Daniel Craig) suddenly wakes up to find himself in a desert. He has no recollection of how he got there, with only a mysterious metal device on his wrist. To recover his lost memories, Jake returns to the small town. However, he finds the townsfolk unfriendly, and to stay, he must gain the approval of Woodrow (played by Harrison Ford), the town's pioneer. But then, the most terrifying thing happens: several strange alien spaceships appear and abduct many townspeople. At this moment, Jake accidentally activates the metal device on his wrist, shooting down a spaceship and regaining part of his memory. In order to rescue the abducted townspeople and uncover the intentions of these unknown alien ships, the town unites under the leadership of Jake and Woodrow, heading towards the direction the alien ships flew off in search of answers.
