In the 17th century, the Battle of Sekigahara is trending towards the unification of the Tokugawa clan, but the Toyotomi clan still maintains substantial power. In the days that follow, both sides' ninja groups engage in continuous clashes, with intense battles raging beneath a calm exterior. Beyond the two great clans, the Sanada family, which consistently claims to remain neutral, becomes the key player in this chess game. One day, Sarutobi Sasuke (played by Koji Takahashi), affiliated with the Sanada clan, meets the ronin Inamura Mitsuaki (played by Rokuro Tohra) and learns from him that one of the two ninja leaders of the Tokugawa clan, Kuniyama Taito (played by Eiji Okada), has defected and may potentially side with the Toyotomi clan. To prevent leaks about military affairs and changes in the battlefield situation, the Tokugawa issue a death warrant for Kuniyama. Meanwhile, the Toyotomi also dispatch spies to support Kuniyama. Sasuke is preparing to pass through Suwa Castle, which is about to become a crucial battlefield affecting the course of the war... This film is adapted from the original work by Koji Nakata.
