There is a Flower Fruit Mountain in the Eastern Land of Aolai Country, where a stone monkey absorbs the essence of the sun and moon and transforms into a divine monkey (voiced by Qiu Yuefeng), ruling over the monkeys in the mountain. In search of a treasured item that pleases him, the divine monkey Sun Wukong sneaks into the Dragon Palace and forcefully asks for the Ruyi Jingu Bang, the magical staff used by Dayu during the flood control. The Dragon King of the East Sea (voiced by Bi Ke) is unwilling to accept this, so he reports the matter to the Jade Emperor (voiced by Fu Rensheng). The Jade Emperor orders Taibai Jinxing (voiced by Shang Hua) to descend to Earth to offer a position of nobility. Unaware of the deception, Sun Wukong gladly goes but discovers that it is merely the stable master who tends to the horses. Upon realizing he has been tricked, the Monkey King rebels against the heavenly court and a great battle ensues on Flower Fruit Mountain with the heavenly soldiers...
