The story takes place in the picturesque Sicily, where Ascalone (played by Saro Urzì) has three beautiful daughters: Agnes (played by Stefania Sandrelli), Amalia (played by Lola Braccini), and Mathilde (played by Paola Biggio). Ascalone is a very authoritative man, and he has always been in charge of everything in the family. Mathilde is about to walk down the aisle with her fiancé Pino (played by Aldo Puglisi), but little does she know that Pino is a fickle playboy.
