Dwight (Josh Brolin) is a muscular private detective who one day receives a call from his ex-wife Ava (Eva Green) asking to meet. In the past, Ava betrayed Dwight and married the wealthy businessman Damian (Marton Csokas), which became an eternal pain in Dwight's heart. Now, after a long time without any news from her, Ava has once again reached out to Dwight. What does she want? Through Ava's narrative, Dwight learns that her life is not good, and the driver Manute (Dennis Haysbert), who has been closely following and monitoring Ava, makes her appear even more pitiful.
