(Translation by Mengmeng @YYeTs Subtitle Group, please credit the source) The “Sakuragi Izumi” has returned! Six months after Sakuragi (played by Aya Ueto) was transferred from the Special Investigation Unit, new developments have emerged in the “Hachioji Incident,” which Shiraishi (played by Takao Nakahara) has been investigating for 14 years! In a recently uncovered murder case, bullet marks consistent with the Hachioji Incident were found, prompting the team from Section 4 to regroup and take on this unresolved case! Sakuragi Izumi has been transferred to the Hachioji South Police Department’s Violent Crime Investigation Unit for six months now. Section 4, led by Chief Nagashima Hideo (played by Katsuji Mori), continues its operations with members Tsukamoto (played by Hiroyuki Miyasako), Takamine (played by Sayaka Yamamoto), and Kurata (played by Tetsuya Sugimoto) while Deepzawa (played by Tomoya Maruyama) has become the leader of the Murder Investigation Team in the First Investigation Unit. One day, the director of the Hachioji Maternity Hospital, Bando Ryohei, and another mysterious man died in a fire. The weapon used to kill the mysterious man was determined to be the same gun used in the “Hachioji Incident” that Shiraishi was investigating 14 years ago. Consequently, Deepzawa requested assistance from Section 4. Since the investigation headquarters was set up at the Hachioji South Police Department, Sakuragi was able to reunite with Deepzawa and the members of Section 4 after a long time. However, despite her investigative capabilities, Sakuragi was not made part of the investigation team and was instead assigned menial tasks. After reviewing the materials related to the Hachioji Incident collected by Shiraishi, Sakuragi learned that the “Hachioji Incident” refers to the 1997 case in which a female body was discovered at the Hachioji municipal landfill. The victim was Chen Yilin, a Chinese woman who was illegally residing in Japan. The autopsy revealed evidence of kidney removal and surgical procedures. Additionally, based on analyses from forensic scientists Ohmori and Takebayashi, the identity of the mysterious man was determined to be Seiji Nozawa. Shiraishi visited Yamamoto Motoki (played by Dai Yanagita), a young man who knew Chen Yilin, and Sakuragi took the opportunity to follow him and involuntarily join the investigation. They discovered that Bando had been involved in organ trafficking and had a connection with the Minister of Health, Miura Atsuo. Furthermore, Nozawa’s daughter had been born in Bando’s hospital 14 years ago. As Takamine’s assistant, Sakuragi proceeded to the hospital where Nozawa’s daughter, who suffers from leukemia, was admitted. She took a statement from her mother, Hideko, but found no leads related to organ trafficking. Meanwhile, Tsukamoto and Kurata investigated the head nurse at Bando’s hospital, Hatayama Akiko, but also uncovered no valuable intelligence… Just as Sakuragi gradually began to lose her motivation to participate in the investigation, at the request of Nagashima and Tsukamoto, she organized the case-related materials once again. The forensic team discovered connections among the belongings of Chen Yilin and Nozawa…
