On a windless midsummer day, a former writer turned real estate agent, Zhou Xunsheng, welcomes a tenant, a clear and youthful theater actor who is passionate about performing in life. He quickly becomes the subject of Xunsheng's observation. Before the play "The Seagull" is performed, the actor loses his role but discovers that he has become the protagonist in Xunsheng's novel. A performer who longs to be seen, a writer who can only indulge in fantasies through words, confused and blurred between different roles, releases desires both on and off the stage. Director Kong Qinghui navigates between multiple texts and identities, dialectically exploring the real and the false.
