In the near future, cloning technology has made significant advancements, but clones remain a legally untouchable taboo, with the government strictly prohibiting clones under the "Sixth Day Law." Pilot Adam (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) has a happy family and feels an instinctive aversion to genetic technologies that violate the laws of nature.
