After the epic battle against Thanos, Earth seems to have temporarily returned to peace. Peter (Tom Holland) is back to school life, enjoying time with friends and has a crush on a girl, but deep inside, he still can't let go of mourning Iron Man. On the way to Europe for a study trip, Peter tries to find a chance to confess to the quirky girl Michelle (Zendaya), but his plans are disrupted by the sudden appearance of elemental monsters. During this process, the mysterious Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), working with S.H.I.E.L.D., steps in to fend off the monsters. Feeling unworthy of the responsibility, Peter declines Nick Fury's (Samuel L. Jackson) offer and prefers to hand over the mantle of Iron Man’s successor to Mysterio. Unexpectedly, even more terrifying crises come one after another...
