Bryon (Michael Biehn) is a lonely, introverted record store employee and a fervent fan of the actress Sally (Lauren Bacall). He holds immense admiration and adoration for Sally, frequently writing her letters to express his affection and hoping to establish a connection. However, he has never received a response from Sally, leaving him feeling rejected and ignored. Over time, Bryon's obsession deepens, and his letters become increasingly unsettling. The content of his correspondence starts to transcend normal fan admiration and becomes more and more abnormal. Unbeknownst to Bryon, Sally's assistant has noticed his letters and detected some disturbing signs. To protect Sally, the assistant decides to reply to one of Bryon's letters, warning him about his behavior. However, this seemingly kind gesture unexpectedly provokes Bryon's anger.
