Haga Eiryo (played by Kato Toshiro) is a renowned pianist in the industry, achieving great success at a young age, with a bright future ahead. One day, Eiryo encounters an elderly man named Miki Kenichi (played by Ogi Jun), who shocks Eiryo by revealing that he knows the secrets Eiryo has hidden for years and the past he has always wanted to discard and bury. Panic-stricken and angry, Eiryo chooses to kill Miki. Following this, Miki's corpse is discovered, and Inspectors Konishi Eitaro (played by Tanba Tetsuro) and Yoshimura Hiroshi (played by Morita Ken) are assigned to investigate the case. The sensitive and sharp-witted Konishi gradually focuses his investigation on Eiryo, uncovering the dark side of this genius musician that is unknown to others.
