Dong-joo (played by Ha-seon Park), the daughter of a rice cake shop owner, is naturally tone-deaf and sings off-key, leaving her mother very worried as she is 28 and still single. Dong-joo has secretly been in love with a classmate named Min-soo (played by Kim Thae-Ho) since high school and even joined the choir, which she is terrible at, just for him. Later, when Min-soo goes abroad to Japan, Dong-joo loses all contact with him but still can't forget her feelings. Years later, upon hearing that her first crush has returned, Dong-joo, who just lost her job, decides to disguise herself as a high school student and enroll in a half-price tone-deaf treatment clinic to learn singing in hopes of attracting Min-soo’s attention. Shin-hong (played by Sang-hyun Yun) is the music teacher at the clinic and believes Dong-joo is hopelessly tone-deaf, leading to constant friction between them. However, as they interact more, Shin-hong learns about Dong-joo's true motivation for learning to sing and begins wholeheartedly dedicating himself to her special training. Just as Dong-joo is encouraged by Shin-hong to confess to Min-soo, she discovers that Min-soo is already in a relationship with her best friend…
