By chance, Smurfstorm (voiced by Demi Lovato) discovers a lost map that leads to a mysterious village. To verify the existence of the village, Smurfstorm sets out on a journey with her friends Clumsy (voiced by Danny Pudi), Hefty (voiced by Joe Manganiello), and Brainy (voiced by Jack McBrayer). Along the way, the inexperienced group encounters countless dangers but manages to overcome them through their wisdom and luck, testing their friendship along the way. The evil wizard Gargamel (voiced by Rainn Wilson) also learns of the village's existence and starts to thwart Smurfstorm and her friends at every turn to be the first to reach the village.
