Lee (played by Melissa McCarthy) was once a moderately successful biographer, with her works frequently hitting the bestseller lists. However, Lee was a very stubborn writer who refused to change her style to cater to the market. Over time, no publishers were willing to work with her, and Lee's life gradually fell into a state of hardship. To make ends meet, Lee decided to sell letters from the famous actress Katharine Hepburn from her cherished collection, which brought her a considerable income. Subsequently, by chance, she obtained another celebrity's letters, and after careful modification, this letter sold for a good price as well. With this second success, Lee discovered a business opportunity and thus embarked on the irreversible path of forging celebrity letters for profit.
