Veteran comedy stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly will reunite in Sony's new comedy film "Holmes and Watson." Ferrell and Reilly play the roles of the great detective Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. John Watson, respectively. Directed by Etan Cohen, who also directed Ferrell's "Get Hard," "Holmes & Watson" is inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes series and is a PG-13 comedy. When Sony initially bought the script, they intended to cast Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen (from "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby"), but later plans fell through. Sony plans to start shooting right after Thanksgiving this year (November 24). The release is expected next year.
