Miyuki (played by Ueno Juri) receives an invitation from a friend to spend the weekend in "Ruins Town", and she invites her classmate and childhood friend Kindaichi (played by Kamenashi Kazuya) to join her. However, at the last minute, her classmate cancels, leaving them as a pair. In a hotel in Ruins Town, they share the place with several others, including the police officer Kenmochi (played by Kato Masaya), a photographer, a novelist, and a doctor. The hotel staff member, Kou Aiko, is gentle and kind, and after dinner, the hotel owner shares a local legend about vampires.
Fifty years ago, a Romanian family moved here, mistakenly believed to be vampires by the villagers, who set fire to their home. After the fire, the body of their son was never found, and thereafter, deaths began to occur due to supposed vampire attacks. Fifty years later, a family of three moved in to run the hotel. After going bankrupt due to the economic bubble, the couple committed suicide, and their remaining daughter mysteriously died six years ago, her blood completely drained.
Just as the story unfolds, a scream is heard from upstairs - a woman has been found dead, and Miyuki happens to be a witness to the event. The following day, more deaths occur, all evidence pointing towards Miyuki. Kindaichi, who has always shied away from his detective grandfather's fame, decides to uncover the truth of the case to protect the most important person to him.
