In a distant galaxy long ago, the "Ballistic Clan" depleted the atmosphere of their planet due to their leader's stupidity, and planned to seize the pure air of the neighboring planet Judy. On the eve of Princess Vespa's (Daphne Zuniga) wedding on Judy, President Skroob (Mel Brooks) sends Lord Dark Helmet to lead a giant spaceship to kidnap Vespa, threatening Judy to submit. Vespa refuses a loveless marriage and tries to elope but is pursued by the ballistic clan's giant ship.
