In the 1960s, Hong Kong's prisons were in a state of chaos, with police and criminals intertwined, and rampant corruption. Lawyer Chen Zhaohang (played by Wu Zhenyu), who used to specialize in representing gang members, unexpectedly found himself involved in a case while assisting seasoned thug Hong Haier (played by Liang Zhuoman). This resulted in an accident that led him to injure a police officer, and as a consequence, both were imprisoned. The prison warden (played by Xu Jinjian) and the head of the prison, the Piranha (played by Long Fang), wielded absolute power, often resorting to violence to satisfy their own desires. Although Chen disapproved of their actions, he felt powerless to intervene. Within the prison, various factions coexisted, with some members wanting to harm the lawyer and others determined to protect him, leading to imminent conflicts.
