Sound engineer Li Shangyu (played by Liu Zhitao) lost his mother at a young age, and the only family members he has are his father and his grandmother, who suffers from dementia. One winter, Shangyu meets newly divorced radio DJ Han Ensu (played by Lee Young-ae). The purpose of Ensu's arrival is to record some sound effects for her show. They go to a bamboo forest to capture the sound of the wind rustling the bamboo leaves and visit a temple to record the sound of wind chimes. They explore the suburbs and record the sounds of nature everywhere they go. Their relationship develops rapidly, and as spring turns to summer, Li Shangyu and Han Ensu run to the seaside to capture the sound of the waves. Young Shangyu is still passionately in love, but Ensu's enthusiasm begins to wane. Having experienced the failure of marriage, she struggles to believe that love can be constant and cannot forget the pain brought by her divorce. Meanwhile, he cannot understand how love can silently slip away?
