Jonah Griffin (played by Jonah Hill) is a chubby, somewhat shy and innocent big boy who, lacking any babysitting experience, has to temporarily step in as a nanny at Mrs. Pedulla's house due to his mother's date. Mrs. Pedulla has three quirky children: the handsome Slater, who is gay; the fashion-obsessed Bryce, who loves heavy makeup; and the mischievous adopted child Rodrigo, who is fond of destruction.
