In the Zhuhai Xiangzhou Martyrs' Cemetery, an elderly man, over sixty years old, places bouquets of flowers in front of the tombstones of 27 martyrs. He is the esteemed Marshal Ye Jianying. Standing before the tomb of Martyr Wang Qihuan, he quietly touches the stone tablet, deeply immersed in thought as memories of the Xiangzhou mutiny unfold before his eyes... In 1925, at the age of 27, Ye Jianying followed Mr. Sun Yat-sen's instructions to organize a new regiment of the Guangdong Army in Zhuhai Xiangzhou. At the mobilization meeting, he spoke to patriotic youth about the Three Principles of the People and the importance of armed revolution. His elegant demeanor and clear speech moved the youth of Xiangzhou deeply. Female student Lin Cui dreamed of revolution, broke with old customs, and enlisted. However, the new regiment's bugler had sinister intentions and colluded with an assassin, attempting to assassinate Ye Jianying during the mobilization meeting. His movements alerted the guard company commander Wang Qihuan and a man with a goatee; Wang Qihuan quickly identified the threat and shot the assassin, protecting Ye Jianying. The new regiment was established, and Xiangzhou flourished. Ye Jianying ordered Captain Wang to discipline the troops and strengthen training. Officer Zheng Jiesheng and Lin Cui, following Ye Jianying's instructions, mobilized the masses, formed a farmers' association, and organized armed groups. At the rehearsal meeting during the Grain Rain Festival, the public's emotions reached a climax; they danced with dragon lanterns and set off fireworks to celebrate the establishment of the new regiment. Meanwhile, the black hand aiming to assassinate Ye Jianying reached out again towards the young commander. The bully Zhang Xueling made three unsuccessful assassination attempts on Ye Jianying, then secretly conspired with traitor Mo Ying and bandit commander Yuan Dai to instigate a mutiny, aiming to eliminate the newly formed regiment and kill Ye Jianying. In the quiet night, rapid gunfire erupted as unscrupulous counter-revolutionary bandits launched a massive attack on the new regiment under the cover of darkness. The soldiers of the new regiment rose to fight back fiercely against the rebels and bandits. The rampant attacks of the reactionary forces were repelled, but the new regiment also suffered significant losses. Commander Wang Qihuan and 27 soldiers sacrificed their lives heroically in this battle, resting eternally in Xiangzhou. Ye Jianying, who was on the eastern front, returned in anger, arranged the martyrs' funerals, and led his troops to counterattack the reactionary forces, destroying the enemy's encampments.
