In the mythological era, Zeus's son Abel fantasizes about ruling the earth; he calls himself the "Sun God," boasting arrogantly and ultimately meeting his death at the hands of Zeus and Apollo. Thousands of years later, Abel is resurrected, under the pretense of divine intent, to inundate human civilization and rebuild the world of the gods. He invites Athena to co-govern the world and uses divine powers to resurrect the fallen Golden Saints. The ostensibly cooperative Athena attempts to assassinate Abel but is instead harmed by him. Seiya, Shiryu, Hyoga, and others arrive at the Sun God Temple, encountering ambushes from the Solar Warriors and Golden Saints. The young warriors are bruised and exhausted, but as long as there is a glimmer of hope for Athena's survival, they will never give up…
