Bridget Jones (played by Renée Zellweger) is a 32-year-old single woman. Her work and life are quite ordinary, and all she wants is a genuine love. Even with a circle of friends close by to comfort her, Bridget still struggles. In the new year, she decides to live a different life. She chooses to document her daily experiences in a diary, and she begins to feel happier. At this point, she develops feelings for her charming boss, Daniel Cleaver (played by Hugh Grant), who turns out to be engaged to his girlfriend, leaving Bridget heartbroken. Proud yet sincere Mark Darcy (played by Colin Firth) also expresses his affection for her. Bridget finds herself caught between two men, unsure of whom to choose.
