After encountering milkman Niu Geng (played by Wang Baoqiang), big boss Li Chenggong (played by Xu Zheng) faces a series of troubles during his trip. Pressured by his lover to confront his wife back home in Changsha, Li Chenggong encounters the jinxed Niu Geng at the airport, who is heading to Changsha to collect debts. True to his name, Niu Geng is straightforward and honest, exuding a certain foolishness. First, he chugs an entire can of milk at security before boarding the plane, and later, he asks the flight attendant to open a window. After much hassle, when the plane reaches the skies above Changsha, he curses the fate that leads to the flight having to turn back due to heavy snow. Resigned, Li Chenggong manages to squeeze onto a hard-seat train carriage, finally feeling relieved, only to spot Niu Geng in the crowd once again. Niu Geng is like a pestilence in Li Chenggong's life; every time he “opens his mouth,” an unexpected event occurs. Due to the constant mishaps along the way, the two of them switch from the train to a bus, and then climb onto a tractor. Although Niu Geng's jinx causes all sorts of troubles for Li Chenggong, this bumbling youth infects him with his sincerity and optimism. After a bumpy journey, the two finally arrive in Changsha and return to their own lives, yet the experiences they encountered during the trip continue to impact their lives... This film is produced by veteran Hong Kong filmmaker Man Chung.
