Paul (Ezra Godden) is suffering from nervous exhaustion due to his obsession with work and is frequently haunted by nightmares of a terrifying mermaid. To relieve his stress, he heads to Spain for a vacation on a yacht with his girlfriend Barbara (Raquel Meroño) and friends Haul (Brendan Price) and Vicky (Birgit Bofarull). While at sea, they hear mysterious singing from nearby Impoga Island, and soon a massive storm strikes, causing the yacht to run aground and injuring Vicky. Paul and his girlfriend take a lifeboat to the island for help, leaving Haul and Vicky behind, who then face an attack from an unknown creature. On the island, they encounter strange residents, and in their attempt to rescue their friends, they are forced to split up, leading to a nightmare that begins...
