A fully armed four-member special forces team is ordered to go to the site of the incident, led by Dr. Owen (played by Jonathan Mellor), who claims to be a health department official. They enter an apartment that has been quarantined due to infection. Shortly after the operation begins, one of the members, Matos (played by Alejandro Casaseca), is attacked and infected. Captain Pablo (played by Juli Fàbregas) finds it suspicious, and from Owen, he finally learns the truth about the incident. Meanwhile, three curious teenagers also sneak into the apartment, experiencing various horrifying scenes and paying the price for it. At the same time, the special forces encounter Angela (played by Manuela Velasco), the female journalist who survived the first installment, unaware that death's hand has already reached out to them... This film is a sequel to the previous work "REC" and has won several awards, including Best Editing, Best Sound, Best Special Effects, and Best Visual Effects at the 2010 Goya Awards.
