Yara, from an Albanian immigrant family, lives with her family of five in Hamburg, Germany. She navigates between working at a supermarket and her home, like a wandering soul lost in life, until she meets Kiki. The two spark a wonderful synergy, bringing Yara an unprecedented sense of freedom. However, her conservative father chooses a husband for her, prompting Yara to decide to escape her family and hit the road with Kiki, much like Bonnie and Clyde in "We Have No Tomorrow," risking everything to embrace the unknown in hopes of finding love. Born in Kabul, German director Ali Hakim's debut feature "We Have No Tomorrow" reveals cultural conflicts between the West and Islam through a love story. The first half of the film is akin to a romantic female version of "Before Sunrise," while the second half takes a dramatic turn, making it a thrilling tale of youthful love that captivates the audience.
