University student Junichi Fujitō (played by Takayuki Gokai) harbors a desire to enter high society and decides to work part-time at a high-end restaurant in Karuizawa during his vacation. However, his plans are soon disrupted by unexpected events. As a waiter, Fujitō is assigned to serve at the villa of Gennai Nakagawa (played by Yoshio Tsuchiya), the president of Nakagawa Corporation. There, he falls in love at first sight with the president's wife, Yoshiko (played by Miwa Takada), and accidentally drops a plate, incurring Nakagawa's wrath.
