"10 Years Thailand" is a co-production that invites four Thai directors to envision what their homeland will look like in ten years. The four directors are Aditya Assarat, Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Chulayarnnon Siriphol, and Wisit Sasanatieng. Although each is responsible for only one segment, the final film prompts deep reflection on Thailand's current political situation. Since 2014, Thailand has entered a period of military dictatorship, where differing political opinions, public expression, and diversity of thought have been restricted.
