This film is adapted from Edgar Allan Poe's short story, which is very famous and has been adapted into films several times. This version stars Vincent Price and was released in 1960. The movie differs from the novel with some slight changes. Rory and his sister Madeline rely on each other, with only an elderly caretaker accompanying them in the large mansion.
