"Bikram: Yoga, Guru, Predator" examines the tumultuous life of the controversial hot yoga founder Bikram Choudhury. In the early 1970s, Choudhury moved from Kolkata, India, to Beverly Hills, where he quickly garnered a celebrity following and built a global fitness empire, amassing immense wealth. However, by the 2010s, with a wave of sexual assault allegations surfacing and stories about his aggressive, cult-like training environment coming to light, lawsuits began to mount, and Choudhury's illegal teaching methods became headline news. The Netflix original documentary "Bikram: Yoga, Guru, Predator," directed by Oscar winner Eva Orner ("Taxi to Dark Side," "The Refuge"), features the stories of the women who brought him down and explores the contradictions of how this healing discipline, while helping many, has also caused harm to others.
