Jin Shengjin (played by Jung Jae-young) loses his job due to company restructuring and is heavily in debt; his wife also leaves him. Disillusioned with life, Jin Shengjin climbs to the Han River Bridge and jumps... However, when he comes to, he finds himself adrift on a small island in the middle of the Han River. After a brief failed escape attempt, Jin Shengjin finds himself in a Robinson Crusoe-like situation at the edge of the city. Reflecting on the cramped busyness of modern life, he abandons his suicidal thoughts and starts living a life based on various scraps found on the island. Meanwhile, in a high-rise building in the city, a woman with autism, Miss Jin (played by Jung Liyuan), coincidentally witnesses Jin Shengjin's attempted suicide through her camera. This girl, who only peeks at the street during drills throughout the year, encounters an alien-like urban Robinson in her life. Miss Jin ventures into the perilous streets at night to send a signal to Mr. Jin, while Jin Shengjin replies with large letters on the beach. This strange pen pal relationship slowly nurtures their friendship, but where will this connection lead in the chaotic city?
