Takuya Kobayashi dropped out of university in Tokyo to form a band, determined to make a living from music. However, he did not tell his parents, who run an apple orchard in Nagano, about this decision. His strong resentment and rebelliousness towards his father, who hopes he will take over the orchard, stemmed from a setback he experienced in middle school. Consequently, he fled his hometown and has not returned for many years. Yet, the music path he wagered his future on has met with repeated setbacks, and Takuya again tastes the bitterness of failure and the loneliness of being misunderstood. In his frustration and anxiety, Takuya vented his emotions on his father, whom he had not seen for a long time. It seems that his father also has unspoken worries. This is a story about a young man desperately trying to carve out his own space and the parents who silently sacrifice and protect him, depicting a family life that is both tumultuous and filled with warmth.
