Hidenari Osu (played by Hiroki Narimiya) is an ordinary university student, living an uneventful life day after day. By chance, he meets a 27-year-old woman named Yashitake Eko (played by Yuki Uchida), and the two quickly enter into a relationship. Despite feeling overwhelmed by Eko's enthusiasm and exuberance, Hidenari eventually develops a deep infatuation for this mysterious woman as time passes. However, one day, Hidenari hears the news that Eko is getting married. After that, Hidenari graduates and, through his family's introduction, meets the lovely and gentle Shoko. Although he lacks for nothing in life, Hidenari feels that there is an endless black hole in his heart, consuming all his emotions and happiness. Eventually, in a state of self-destruction, Hidenari finds himself with nothing, and just then, he receives news about Eko again.
