On a lonely, desolate night, a woman in mourning clothes rushes into the middle of the road. A young man standing by the roadside sees this and hurriedly runs over to save her. The woman's name is Momoko (played by Satomi Kobayashi), an actress who has run away from a film crew. Afterward, she gets into the car of the young man who saved her, Nagano (played by Ryo Kase). As the long night stretches on and the journey continues, they engage in casual conversation. Momoko learns that Nagano is also a fugitive from a marriage scam. After saying goodbye at the seaside, Momoko continues her travels and unexpectedly reunites with an old friend, Kikuchi (played by Tomoyo Harada), at a cinema, where they share their life stories. During her travels, she also encounters Yasuko (played by Hana Kuroki), who has faced difficulties in finding a job at a zoo.
