"Hibiki: The Method of Becoming a Novelist" is a manga created by Mitsuharu Yanamoto, which won the 2017 Manga Award. It tells the story of a 15-year-old high school girl named "Hibiki Akechi," who is solitary and only loves pure literature, but her obsession goes far beyond the ordinary, and she completely misunderstands social norms, often doing things that seem outrageous and baffling to others. Despite this, she is actually a literary genius born in Japan in the fifty years following the war! When she first submitted her work to a magazine, she even forgot to include her contact information, leading to a story that unfolds along two lines: on one side, the protagonist joins a rather eccentric literature club in high school, while on the other side, the magazine editor is attempting to publish her novel while also trying to discover the identity of this mysterious author.
