Four heavy metal misfits: the lead singer is a cleaner at a sanatorium, the guitarist is a reindeer butcher, the bassist is a librarian, and the drummer, who has died twice, is the most energetic and dreams of performing abroad; they have been practicing in a basement for 12 years without ever performing on stage, and almost everyone in town despises them.
