In the late Qing Dynasty, the renowned coach Tong Tiezheng (played by Di Long) from Guangdong is invited by the local Sima of the Green Camp in Tieling, Guangxi, to become a coach in Phoenix Town. Phoenix Town is known for its nightlife, with brothels thriving in business, and most customers are local officials and wealthy individuals, along with a number of soldiers.
