Yang Shao (played by Liu Ruoying) is a successful designer who has struggled in America for many years. Steve, a lawyer from New York (played by Alan Cumming), has always been captivated by her talent. After her father's passing, Yang Shao returns to Shanghai for the funeral and coincidentally meets Zhao Ming (played by Zhao Jin), the son of Old Zhao, who offers her much help in a city where she feels unfamiliar. Yang Shao is very grateful. Zhao Ming and his friend Huang Mao (played by Cai Manshou) plan to open a new type of entertainment venue, and the location of Yang Shao's mother's ancestral home is quite suitable.
