In a hospital near the seaside, there lives a middle-aged man named Kim Min-ho (played by Choi Woo-shik) who is all alone. Due to the loss of sensation on the left side of his body and damage to his brain nerves, he constantly thinks about ending his miserable life. One day, the hospital admitted another patient without any family, named Park Sang-hwa (played by Yoo Ha-jin), who lost his memory due to brain damage and was placed in the same intensive care unit as Kim. Park's arrival stirs endless turmoil in Kim Min-ho's heart. The two men seem to have had an infinite hatred and entanglement in the past, leading Kim to concoct various plans to eliminate him, while Park, gradually regaining his memory, directs the same hatred towards Kim Min-ho.
