Morgan Sullivan (Jeremy Northam) is a man facing professional setbacks, a bleak marriage, and a low point in life, constantly yearning for a new and exciting existence. By chance, he becomes an employee at the high-tech digital company Digicorp. During his training, he undergoes the company's brainwashing and adopts a new identity, leading him to travel the world and continuously steal business secrets from Digicorp's main competitor, Sunways. During one of his missions, he encounters the mysterious Rita (Lucy Liu), from whom he learns everything that has happened to him. This becomes the catalyst for him to become a double agent, but his life begins to spiral out of control...
