According to the idealized definition of capitalism, people living under this social system can freely choose their jobs and receive corresponding compensation. But what is the reality? In the midst of the global financial crisis in 2008, countless individuals in the United States were evicted from their homes by banks due to loss of redemption rights; some businessmen colluded with the judicial system to build reformatories, profiting from imprisoning wayward youth; others secretly insured their employees and profited from the large payouts when they died; while thousands of workers faced unemployment, Wall Street banks requested as much as $700 billion in government bailouts, the ultimate fate of which remains unknown. Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore once again picks up the camera, attempting to reveal the true faces of politicians and businessmen who exploit the public and amass wealth... This film won the Small Golden Lion award at the 2009 Venice Film Festival.
