"Poisoning (US Version)" is adapted from the Korean film of the same name, starring Lee Byung-hun and Lee Mi-yeon, released in 2002. A traffic accident leaves Jessica (Sarah Michelle Gellar) with her husband Ryan (Michael Landes) and brother-in-law Ryman (Lee Pace) in a coma, with Ryan at risk of becoming a vegetable. However, months later, Ryman wakes up first, offering Jessica a glimmer of hope that her husband might also recover. Ryman shockingly claims to be her husband Ryan. Initially, Jessica does not believe him, but Ryman's behavior increasingly resembles Ryan's, and he reveals secrets only Ryan would know. Jessica finds herself in deep conflict: on one hand, she struggles to accept the idea of a soul transfer; on the other, she senses her husband's presence and vague happiness. It seems an incurable love, akin to poisoning, is about to bloom. Meanwhile, Ryan in the hospital shows signs of revival...
