In an ordinary American town, a gay boy is murdered, and his death sparks widespread controversy. Pastor Abin Cooper (Michael Parks) claims to represent God and leads his congregation in protests, denouncing the various vices and crimes of the world. Meanwhile, high school students Travis (Michael Angarano), Jarod (Kyle Gallner), and Billy-Ray (Nicholas Braun) plan a night out, seeking the wildness and thrill of youth. Little do they know that the boys seeking adventure will become the prey. They fall into a trap set by Cooper and his followers, where they may lose their lives at any moment. On the other hand, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent Joseph G allocates (John Goodman) gradually gathers evidence of Cooper's stockpiling of firearms, and a battle devoid of justice and moral decay is about to unfold...
