On a silent night, Paul O'Kelly (played by Josh Stewart) and his girlfriend Anna (played by Jamie-Lynn Sigler) are driving down an abandoned highway. They are on their way to Los Angeles to attend a friend's wedding, as Anna refuses to fly, so they must drive day and night. Late at night, exhausted both physically and mentally, Paul and Anna find a roadside motel and decide to stay there temporarily. This motel is particularly deserted, and the clerk Frank (played by Chris Browning) is shy and reserved, seemingly a person with many unspoken stories. Paul encounters a mysterious man there, and soon his troubling past from college begins to surface.
