A stage play adapted from the classic legend "Yotsuya Kaidan" is undergoing intense rehearsals, with popular actress Miyuki Gotou (played by Yuki Shibasaki) and her charming but unfaithful boyfriend Kousuke Hasegawa (played by Ebizo Ichikawa) playing the roles of the vengeful spirit Iwa and the heartless samurai Iemon, respectively. As reality and drama reflect upon each other, the two increasingly struggle to discern the boundaries between them. Hasegawa's ambiguous relationship with newcomer actress Rio Asabina (played by Miho Nakayoshi) and Miyuki's assistant Kayoko Kurata (played by Maiko) leaves Miyuki feeling like Iwa, silently enduring while her accumulated frustrations and resentment grow. Hasegawa's late-night outings with Rio drive Miyuki into a state of madness. A group of people indulging in passion seem to be cursed by evil spirits... The film is based on the original work "I Won't Give It to Anyone" by Kikumi Yamagishi
