The story takes place in the bustling metropolis of Chicago, where a series of gruesome dismemberment murders have left residents living in fear. The twisted and brutal perpetrator not only kills his victims but also cruelly removes certain parts of their bodies, leaving these severed limbs unaccounted for. John (portrayed by Christopher Lambert) is the detective in charge of the case, facing immense pressure from his superiors and the media as he investigates tirelessly.
