Fat Bao (played by Sammo Hung) spends his days swindling and deceiving, ignoring the scolding from his father (also played by Sammo Hung). He teams up with his friend Xiao Hai (played by Meng Hai) to cheat people, and the duo, working as valet parkers, encounters the remarkable skills of the female con artist Lily (played by Lydia Shum). They wish to get a share of her spoils but attract the attention of Lily's enemies. Xiao Hai is captured as a hostage, and Fat Bao is determined to rescue him. However, nothing goes as planned, and he takes out his frustration on his deceased grandfather, the "Gambling King," Hong Jiu (played by Sammo Hung). Hong Jiu, unwilling to be insulted by his grandson and eager for revenge against his enemies and their descendants, returns as a vengeful spirit to assist Fat Bao in dominating the casino scene and successfully rescuing Xiao Hai. Having reaped the benefits, Fat Bao wants to rid himself of Hong Jiu but ultimately can't due to familial ties. Fat Bao disguises himself as a mainland leader to get closer to his enemies to avenge his grandfather, involving his father and Lily in the plot...
