In 2013, a high school girl named Laura Barnes (played by Heather Sossaman) committed suicide, causing a stir. One night a year after Laura's death, her classmate Blair Lily (played by Shelley Hennig) was flirting online with her boyfriend Mitch Rusch (played by Moses Storm) when their friends Adam Sewell (played by Will Peltz), Ken (played by Jacob Wysocki), and Jess (played by Renee Olstead) joined in, laughing and joking together. However, a mysterious user without a profile picture also joined the discussion, who couldn’t be kicked out or hung up on; even more shocking was that this user was speaking to them in Laura's identity. At first, Blair and the others thought it was a hacker's prank, but things took a turn when another girl, Val (played by Courtney Halverson), who previously cursed Laura, went ballistic and suffered a fatal accident. Under the pressure of the ghost, their hidden dark secrets resurfaced, leading them irreversibly toward the abyss of death...
